To top it off, her emotions on "Piece By Piece" brought this old man to tears. Fourth, she didn't have to have dancers in the background because she DIDN'T NEED BACKGROUND DANCERS!! They would have been a total distraction from her magnificent voice and personality. Thirdly I thought it was wonderful that she brought her back-up singers out with her on the runways as well as the guitar and saxophone players. Secondly she interacts with the audience with her sharp and funny wit and humor. First of all her VOICE is second to none. Of all the concerts I've seen over my years there are only 2 entertainers that I wish the show would not end and that is Elvis and Kelly Clarkson! This show was so beautiful in so many ways. I'm 66 yrs old and have attended many concerts. Whether she’s the opening act or the main event, Kelly will bring it. From haunting versions of Florence and the Machine’s “Heavy in Your Arms”, to soaring vocals on any number of Aretha Franklin tunes, to crowd pleasing radio hits like Fun’s “We are Young,” Kelly nails every note and every line with emotion and reverence. Perhaps a throwback to her Idol days, Kelly tends to perform a lot of covers, but each one will blow you away. There's that kind of chemistry of holding on to something that you shouldn't be that's maybe unhealthy for you. There's "Magic," where it's like you're struggling, but the person is magical, you're in love. So "Favorite Kind of High" is more of that sexy, intoxicating beginning part of a relationship.
There were some beautiful moments like, how lucky am I to have felt that, to have been in love, to have that chemical reaction with someone? That's because you only see what was happening in the end and you don't remember that's not what it was the whole time.

I'm not offended by it by any means.īut it was really important to me to have a full scope of a relationship and not just the negative. And unfortunately, from tragedy and hurtful places, a lot of music that is highly relatable comes out of that.
So it's like, "Oh, what is she going to say?" We're all guilty of that with any artists we love. I get why people would say that, because obviously I'm divorced now and I haven't had music since then.
